Revised Proposed Budget for 2015-2016

After our meeting in April, the Officers met and came up with a revised proposed budget.  To download the pdf of the proposed budget, click here – PTE 2015-2016 Budget V2.

A BIG thank you to those who came to the meeting to review, discuss and solve some issues with the budget.  And also a BIG thank you to those who have served on the PTE committees in the past who came to help the new parents understand the history of some of the items on the budget.

Proposed Budget for 2015-2016

We have our proposed budget set for our meeting on Thursday night. Please plan on attending to review and discuss how we are going to raise and spend money for our kids at Eagle Elementary.

Please consider joining us for a Dine Out night for April 20th, from 5-7 pm.  The Chipolte on O Street will be giving our school 50% of the sales during that time.  That is an amazing deal for our school.  You can print out the flyer above (select it to open it in a new browser window, and then choose print from your menu options).  This qualifies for both dine in and takeout.  You must indicate your sponsorship to the cashier (either with flyer or by indicating Eagle PTE fundraiser) for EaglePTE to get the credit for your purchase.

Janet’s Jungle – FAQs

JANET’S JUNGLE FAQ’S

Q: On what dates should the order forms be turned in?

A: Please turn in order forms on Mondays unless there is no school. In the instances where there is no school, turn the order forms in on Tuesday. Here are the dates we would like the order forms turned in on: March 17th, March 23rd, March 30th and April 7th

Q: If my child has sold the necessary amount to receive a prize, on what days will they receive their rewards?

A: The prize days will occur on Fridays.  Here is the prize schedule: Prizes will be awarded on Friday, March 20th for those who turned in order forms on March 17th totaling at least $30. Kindergarteners do not have school on March 20th, so they will receive their prizes for this week on Friday, March 27th.  Prizes will be awarded on Friday, March 27th for those who turned in order form(s) on March 23rd totaling at least $30. Prizes will be awarded on Thursday, April 2nd for those who turned in order form(s) on March 30th totaling at least $30. And prizes will be awarded on Friday, April 10th for those who turned in order forms on April 7th totaling at least $30.

Q: Does my child need to return both copies of the order form (white and yellow copy)?

A: Please return the white copy. The yellow copy is for the customer.

Q: Are these actual plants or just the seeds?

A: These are all beautiful, good quality plants ready to be planted in your garden or yard!

Q: What am I supposed to do with the catalog at the end of the fundraiser?

A: Please send the catalog back to school with your child.

Q: The order form says “First Come, First Serve,” what does this mean?

A: Saturday, April 25th is the scheduled pick up day. On this day we will have all of the plants set out in the school Learning Center.  Each person will take turns walking through the Learning Center to pick out the plants they ordered-just as if you were shopping at a Garden Center (for example, there will be tables full of beautiful hanging baskets and patio planters  and you’ll pick out the basket or planter that you would like to have. Each basket or planter will have a different assortment and arrangement of flowers.).

Q: The fundraiser is over and I really wish I would have ordered a hanging basket. Is it too late?

A: No. There will be one chance to purchase items you may have missed out on.  On pick up day, April 25th, we will have extras of some plants, hanging baskets and patio planters. We would be more than happy to help you find the perfect one to take home! Of course quantities will be limited so it will be first come first serve.

Q: Are all the plants appropriate for our hardiness zone (Zone 5).

A: Yes. All of these plants are appropriate for Zone 5 and were all grown right here in the Midwest.

Q: I can’t make it to pick up day, what should I do?

A: Because of the nature of the product, all plants must be picked up on April 25th – no exceptions. Everything must be out of the school by 2:00 p.m. If you are not able to pick up your order we ask that you send a friend or family member in your place.

Q: I ran out of order forms. Where can I get more?

A: The school office has additional order forms. You can also print additional order forms from the Janet’s Jungle website: http://www.janetsjungle.com/assets/mastersalessheet2014-troy-2.pdf

Q: I lost the catalog, what should I do?

A: If you’ve lost your catalog, you could print a new one from Janet’s Jungle website: http://www.janetsjungle.com/assets/jjplantcatalog_15final.pdf

Q: Are online orders allowed?

A: At this time we are not accepting online orders.

Q:  My family only received 1 catalog, but we have 3 students. Why?

A: To reduce costs for the PTE, only 1 catalog per family was sent home.  Additional catalogs can be printed from the Janet’s Jungle website: http://www.janetsjungle.com/assets/jjplantcatalog_15final.pdf

Q: The order form has a “Round Up” option. What is that for?

A: This area is for rounding up your total sale. For example, if the total is $11.75, the customer could choose to round their total up to $12.00. The 25 cent difference would go directly to the PTE. The PTE receives 100% of the rounded up funds.

Q: Who do I make the check out to?

A: Please make checks out to Eagle PTE.
